CAREERS, Internship Program & TRAINING
Careers
CFC is dedicated to doing everything we can to generate jobs in Connecticut, starting by connecting the personnel needs of our production clients with locally based, experienced and qualified crew. We maintain and distribute a Resume Book for production companies that are working in Connecticut. We also offer internships at CFC, and help place interns with our production clients. We encourage people to send their resumes to crew@ctfilmcenter.com.
Internship Program
CFC offers credit-only internships for area college students interested in learning more about the Connecticut film industry. This internship is a great opportunity for someone looking to learn about film production. While this is an office based internship, you will have the opportunity to interact with the crews of the films that are coming into the state to utilize the 30% tax credit. Students that are interested in applying for the internship should be hard-working, reliable and proactive. Internship are available for the fall and spring semesters as well as during the summer. Students must be available for the internship two to three full days a week. If you are interested in applying for an internship please submit your cover letter and resume to resume@ctfilmcenter.com.
Training
Connecticut Film Center has been at the forefront of workforce development in Connecticut. From the first days of the tax credit program, CFC was preaching the need for crew training programs. The State of Connecticut listened and the Office of Workforce Competitiveness commissioned CFC to develop a Production Assistant Workshop and a comprehensive Crew Training Program. The program was presented to the Governor and State Legislature in 2007, and began in 2008. It has been received with great success, with over 250 graduates of the program. The Training Program runs in the summer. Please visit the Connecticut Film & Digital Media Workforce website at http://www.ctfilmworkforce.com for more information on the Training Program.
